This report, prepared by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) for the EULAC-Energytran project, analyses the social tensions arising from decarbonisation processes in Ibero-America using a comparative approach across countries and contexts. It highlights sociopolitical challenges and stresses that only a rapid and just transition can be socially sustainable and meet the Paris Agreement targets.
